I was born and
raised in Westchester, NY. I am the oldest with six younger brothers and
a younger sister. The thought of living in a house with only one other
person carries with it an eerie sense of quiet. But I guess I won't have to
worry about that too much because both my younger sister Cindy and future
sister-in-law Elisa have promised to be frequent visitors and even requested
Joe and I ensure there is a room in our home just for them.
After graduating with a degree in education, I
starting working at Eastchester Middle School where I teach 7th grade ELA. I
love working with my students and introducing them to both new and classical
literature. But life cannot only be about work. In my free time I
enjoy ...who am I kidding. I'm not sure I remember what free time is, but
I will always manage to get my hands on a good book or two or ten.
I know that I am one of the luckiest people in the
world. Joe and I have managed to work around our hectic schedules, my obsession
and ever increasing book collection and most recently my obsession with google
apps. We have grown closer and more in love each year we have spent together. I
know that no matter what I will always have my best friend by my side, and I
cannot wait to spend the rest of our lives together.
I was also born and raised in Westchester, NY along with my
younger sister Elisa. Anyone who knows my family will attest to the fact
that there is always the smell of great food and fresh baked goods in the
kitchen. Lori has a lot of
culinary expertise to compete with, but she seems to be able to handle making
sauce--a must have for any Italian household.
After graduating with a degree in Science, Technology, and
Society from Vassar College, I started working at IAT publishing where there
was often more emphasis on our award presentations than there was on editing
textbooks. However, I soon moved on to NYCOM where I will complete my medical
degree in May. I've had
several years of crazy hours and lots of studying, but have managed to have fun
along the way.
